Welcome To Avita Health System and our Affiliate Hospitals, Bucyrus (Ohio) Hospital, Galion (Ohio) Hospital along with our newest facility, Avita Ontario Hospital in Ontario, Ohio.
The hospitals and Avita Ontario are a short 12 mile drive from each other via US 30 (four lane highway) or State Highway 19 (Scenic two lane highway). Our expanding health system currently features 117 employed physicians and advanced practitioners and 1,600 total staff.
Our philosophy is that our employed opportunity will allow you the physician to concentrate more on medicine. We provide a turnkey opportunity that includes clinic space, support staff and the collaboration with a well developed medical staff. We recognize the importance of a stable medical community and encourage our providers to actively participate in our organization.
We provide a salary based on the MGMA national median standards.
Bucyrus Hospital features 20 inpatient acute medical/surgical care beds and a five bed intensive care unit. Galion Hospital also features 25 acute care inpatient beds and a 10 bed inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. Avita Ontario Hospital features 27 inpatient acute medical/surgical care beds. Avita Health System continues to develop services to meet the needs of area residents.
About the community: Avita Health System is located in Mid Ohio between the Cities of Cleveland and Columbus. Our facilities are located in communities from 5,000 to approximately 14,000.
We have the benefit of enjoying life in a smaller community with excellent schools and a lower cost of living. The City of Columbus, Ohio is less than one hour away. The Cities of Cleveland and Toledo are also an easy drive of one hour and thirty to one hour and forty five minutes away.

Company History
Galion Hospital based in Galion, Ohio traces its origin to the 1930's. In 2010, The Board of Directors and Senior Administration of Galion Hospital authorized the development of Avita Health System, a locally governed private not for profit health system.
Today, Avita Health System is a robust organization that began with one hospital (Galion Hospital) in 2010, purchased Bucyrus Hospital in 2010 and opened Avita Ontario Hospital in February 2017.
Our employed medical staff has risen to one hundred and seventeen physicians and advanced practitioners. Our total staff or better called The Avita Family now totals 1,600.
